Students across the Unity Schools Partnership have been celebrating after another successful set of A-level results.
Samuel Ward Academy in Haverhill and Thomas Gainsborough School in Great Cornard joined our newest secondary school – St Edward’s Academy in Romford – in celebrating the success of their sixth formers.
Students at Samuel Ward Academy have been celebrating a rise in the school’s A-level results.
The Haverhill school achieved an overall pass rate of 98% with 80% grades A*-C equivalent – an increase on the 73% a year ago.
At Thomas Gainsborough School, a total of 100 students sat A-level and other Level 3 qualifications this summer with 15% of all A-level entries this year either A* or A and 31% of vocational subjects being graded Distinction* or Distinction.
The overall pass rate at the school was 96%, with an A*-C pass rate of 61%.
While students at St Edward’s Academy in Romford were also celebrating after achieving a strong set of A-level and BTEc results.
Individual and department success have been praised by the school with 16% of entries achieving an A*-A grade and 37% achieved A*-B.
